Classes on Buddhism and Meditation
We run meditation and Buddhism classes in various parts of London.
Our classes at Dechen on Chepstow Road are every Wednesday and Saturday and are open to all. No previous experience or knowledge of Buddhism is required.
'Discovering the causes of happiness' - Buddhist meditation and everyday practice
An experienced Buddhist practitioner will lead the discussion group, focusing on the short booklet 'Discovering the Causes of Happiness' by Lama Jampa Thaye (the booklet is available at our store).
SATURDAY 10.30am to 12.30pm
10.30am: Drop in meditation group. Anyone can join, just come! We run several short sessions of meditation, focusing on Discovering the Causes of Happiness.
11.30am: 'Rain of Clarity' Study Group - in depth look at Buddhist practice and philosophy in the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, focusing on Lama Jampa Thaye's authoritative book.

The short video below was filmed on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Sakya Dechen Ling (at its previous home in Notting Hill). There is a short talk by Lama Jampa on the purpose of a Dharma centre like ours and then some footage of recitation of prayers, followed by socialising in a local cafe.
