Lama Jampa Thaye
Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master trained in the Sakya and Karma Kagyu traditions of Buddhism. He is authorized as a lama by his two main teachers, Karma Thinley Rinpoche and His Holiness Sakya Trizin, and has been training students in all aspects of the Buddhist path since 1988.
In 1974 H.H. the Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa appointed Lama Jampa to the Karma Kagyu Trust (UK) and and H.H. Karmapa Thaye Dorje has now appointed him as a member of the international teaching faculty of the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in Delhi, (KIBI). Lama Jampa was born on Bolton, Lancashire and currently lives in London with his family.
Lama Jampa has founded major Buddhist centres in the UK - in London, Manchester, Bristol and Harrogate - as well as a retreat centre in Dordogne, France and centres in Los Angeles, USA, Mexico City and Stuttgart, Germany.
